Melfort House is the family home of Matthew and Yvonne Anderson and their two daughters Phoebe and Georgina.  After coming to settle on the West Coast of Scotland, their decision to provide Bed & Breakfast (and dinner!) was inspired by Matthew's passion and talent for cooking and Yvonne's love of entertaining and eye for elegant interiors.  

 
     
 

Imagine arriving at Melfort House after a breathtaking day in the beautiful Argyllshire countryside - be it a stroll along the shores of Loch Melfort, a 10 mile hike over the Braes of Lorne or a gentle meander through the coastal villages and towns which are steeped in history.

Why not arrive in time to have complimentary afternoon tea in our comfortable drawing room. Sink into deep sofas by our large log fire amidst family pictures and quirky antiques and take in the magnificent  views whilst savouring home made scones and cakes.  Take some time to read, play backgammon or simply watch the passing boats.
